I have taken a long weekend the last two weekends and decided to relax my tacking and enjoy myself over these 3 and 4 day weekends. I was getting to wrapped up in tracking and needed a mental break.
Sometimes its with those breaks we can find our balance. Even with the calorie increases I had mentioned before I still found myself ravenous and eating more from W-Sat. I was good for the first three days after my pizza/ice cream bonanza Saturday night and then by Wednesday I felt depleted again nutritionally. So I let my body dictate where I should go over these long weekends and ended up at 2225 cal, 45% carbs, 25% fat, 30% protein. Its crazy how much more energy this little baby is taking from me.
I feel calm and grounded here and I have not had the urge to binge in the middle of the day when my blood sugar drops. I have also found that I have to eat within 2 hours of bed or I will wake up at 5am (normal wake up time of 6:30-7am) with a growling belly that cannot be ignored. All of these small changes are helping me feel balanced. Along with increased hunger and calorie additions came some weight gain. Currently I am fluctuating between 145-148lbs but feel good here.
On the workout side of things; I have kept up with my 3 days of CrossFit, 3 days of REV and 1 yoga day. I subbed in 30 minutes of running and 15 minutes of walking when I was traveling. I find my body does not recover if I push CrossFit Wods hard and will start to scale back in future weeks.
